Friends,
It is with great pleasure I once again can welcome you to E-Den!
In response to your feedback, a number of improvements have been made:
- a new resident caretaker Constanze Albrecht will welcome you during your stay
- the B&B is now exclusively yours with a minimum of one queen bed booking
- breakfast and other items are now ala carte
- E-Den B&B is available for a single night- no minimum two night bookings
As I am staying in Vancouver more these days, I have also decided to put the property up for sale. Please check out MLS #307782 if you’d perhaps like a longer stay

E-Den is pleased to announce a successful federal EcoAction grant application to provide solar hot water!
Solar hot water heat makes great sense for a B&B as most guests come in sunnier months. E-Den opened in July but unfortunately water could only be heated with propane. Our vision at E-Den is to minimize fossil fuel use and use alternative energy sources where possible such as our solar electric system. A feasibility study found that most of the propane used yearly could be displaced by a single evacuated tube collector solar panel! Evacuated tube panels are more efficient compared to older flat panel technology and allow solar heating in cold weather.
Work is now under way to install the collector supplied by Lattitude 51. While the solar collector and infrastructure are being installed, E-Den will be temporarily closed. We look forward to providing solar hot water for your next visit.

E-Den Bed & Breakfast is opening its doors to Lasqueti on Canada Day to celebrate it’s grand opening! From noon until 4PM, we’ll be serving free barbequed hamburgers (and vegi-burgers), hot dogs, pop, and serving up some fun outdoor volleyball and bocce in the field!
We’ll also be giving tours of the property as there have been many interesting changes in the last year. For the B&B this spring, we added two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette in the main house. Last year, we completely renovated the old A-frame into an inviting open space studio suitable for workshops or yoga.
July 1 will be a busy weekend here on Lasqueti as the Arts Fest will be in full swing July 2 and 3. This is Lasqueti’s cultural highlight of the year and will be held at the Community Hall mid island. Transportation to and from E-Den will be available for your convenience.
We hope to see you out and hope you keep E-Den in mind the next time you might need a room for some visiting friends or family!
Call 250-240-8246 or check out www.e-den.ca for information. E-Den is located on the North End on Spring Bay Road, the second drive-way on the left just past Maple Bay and the two post office mail-boxes.
